Managing Member Competitions with BRS Golf and Golf Genius

Competitions are now significantly easier and quicker to create. Our new and simplified feature allows committees to create a competition, with all the intricacies required, within a one-page document – making competition setup fast, efficient and user-friendly. 

A competition created in BRS Golf is automatically created within Golf Genius too.

To add a Members Competition, follow the steps below:

1. On the left-hand navigation menu, click Tools, scroll down to the Member Booking section, and click Member Competitions.
2. Scroll down to the Member Competitions Form.
3. Choose the course if multiple courses are available from the dropdown menu.
4. Choose the Competition Type. There are three types available: Standard, Draw, and Zoned Draw. 

   • Standard

     Competition is created

     Member selects tee-time(s) on entry to the competition

     Preselected tee times are sent to Golf Genius

   • Draw

     Member enters into a draw

     All entries are sent to Golf Genius

     Pairings are created in Golf Genius

     Upon saving, these are automatically sent back to the BRS tee sheet

     Any changes are made within BRS and are then sent automatically as updates to Golf Genius

   • Zoned Draw

     Member enters into a zone of a draw

     All entries are sent to Golf Genius

     Pairings are created in Golf Genius

     Upon saving, these are automatically sent back to the BRS tee sheet

     Any changes are made within BRS and are then sent automatically as updates to Golf Genius.

5. Fill out the Competition Date, Start Time, End Time, and the date and time this will be available online.
6. To add competitions with multiple dates, click the Add Another Date button. Then, fill out the new date's Competition Date, Start Time, End Time, and the date and time this will be available online. You can do this multiple times.
7. If you have selected a Zoned Draw, input the zones/times members can enter.
8. Click the checkbox for Add these competition date(s) / time(s) to the tee-sheet to add the dates and times to the tee-sheet.
9. Fill out the rest of the form with all the competition details: Name, Number of Holes, Number of Players, Guests, Number of Guests, if you would like to use the Waiting List. 
10. Enter the date and time the competition closes, when and no further bookings are permitted.
11. Select the Membership Types to which this competition applies.
12. Click Add.

You will now see the competition listed at the top of the page. Make sure you have selected the correct month to view. Click on the competition date on the left-hand side to go the Timesheet to view the competition.
