When Member Competitions V2 is enabled, clubs with the Golf Genius integration will receive the following benefits.
Competition Purse for Draw & Zoned Draw
Applying a competition purse charge to Draw & Zoned Draw competitions is now possible. To minimise administration for club managers, messages appear to members when they enter a competition that requires a competition purse payment:
- Upon entering the draw, members will be reminded by way of an onscreen message in the Responsive Members Module to check and ensure their competition purse has enough funds to cover the entry fee.
- Upon confirmation of the draw, a reminder email will be sent to draw entrants containing details of the tee time and the entry fee, reminding members to top ahead of the competition.
Waiting List for Draw & Zoned Draw
When Waiting List for Draw & Zoned Draw competitions is enabled, if a draw is full, clubs can allow a waiting list to form. In the Responsive Members Module, a Waiting List button is displayed for Draw competitions for logged-in members.
By clicking the button, the Member will see other Members currently on the Waiting List. To join, they can click Join Waiting List. For Zoned Draw competitions, the Member can enter a zone with availability or join the Waiting List for a full zone.
If a Member decides to remove the Waiting List entry from the Tee Sheet, they can click Manage my Waiting List Entry > Remove. When a Member withdraws their entry, a slot becomes available. The member at the top of the waiting list automatically moves into the draw.
After the draw has taken place, the waiting list remains active in the event any slots become free prior to the competition's start.
Waiting List Management During Pre-Draw
When Draw and Zoned Draw competitions are in the pre-draw stage, the Waiting List table is not visible on the BRS Admin Timesheet. Once the draw has taken place and the Timesheet is updated, the Waiting List table displays at the top of the Timesheet, allowing admin users to manage it from the Timesheet view. During the pre-draw stage, Admin users can manage the Waiting List from the competition entrants page for the competition.
Waiting List Management During Post-Draw
Once a Draw or Zoned Draw has taken place, any entrants remaining on the Waiting List will be pulled into BRS, retaining the original order of entrants. Any new Waiting List entrants added during the period post-draw and the competition taking place will be added to the Waiting List after existing Waiting List members.
Waiting List Management from Competition Entrants Screen
The Competition Entrants page allows Admin users to manage the Waiting List for Draw and Zoned Draw competitions. At the pre-draw stage, this is the only place where admin users can manage the Waiting List. At the post-draw stage, the Waiting List can be managed on this screen or at the top of the Timesheet.
When the number of entrants in the competition is equal to the number of slots, the Waiting List button displays. To add a member to the waiting list:
- On the left-hand navigation menu, click Tools, scroll down to the Member Booking section, and click Member Competitions.
- Find the competition and click the pencil icon
- Click View Entrants.
- Click Waiting List.
- Enter the Member's name and click Join Waiting List.
- The Waiting List table displays on the competition entrants screen allowing Admin users to see and manage who is currently on the list.
Admin users can sort the table, but the original ordering (the user added first to the list will be at the top) is unaffected, and the table will revert to this order following a refresh of the page.
The same process exists for Zoned Draw competitions.
Adding Additional Dates to an Existing Multi-Date Competition
You may need to add dates to a multi-date competition after it has been created.
- On the left-hand navigation menu, click Tools, scroll down to the Member Booking section, and click Member Competitions.
- Find the competition you need to add the date to.
- Click Add additional date.
- Fill out the Competition Date, Start Time, End Time, and the date and time this will be available online.
- To automatically add the dates and times to the tee-sheet, check the box for Add these competition date(s) / time(s) to the tee-sheet.
- Click Store Date.
Editing Multi-Date Competitions
- On the left-hand navigation menu, click Tools, scroll down to the Member Booking section, and click Member Competitions.
- Find the competition you would like to edit.
- Next to the date you would like to edit within that competition, click the pencil icon.
- NOTE: Only the date and time specific to the round selected are shown, rather than all the dates in the competition series.
- Make the changes.
- The following changes made on this screen will apply to all competition dates in the series:
- Membership Types
- Competition Purse
- Closing Time
- Competition Name
- Number of Holes
- Number of Players/Number of Guests
- The following changes made on this screen will apply to the selected date only:
- Date
- Start Time
- End Time
- Available from Date/Time
- The following changes made on this screen will apply to all competition dates in the series:
The Add Another Date button on the edit screen will allow you to add additional dates, but these will not be automatically added to the timesheet when edits are saved. They will need to be added manually. To have the option to automatically add dates to the Timesheet, please use the process outlined above under “Add additional Dates to an existing multi-date competition.”
Removing a Competition Series
- On the left-hand navigation menu, click Tools, scroll down to the Member Booking section, and click Member Competitions.
- Find the competition you would like to remove.
- Click the X icon to delete the competition series.
- Click OK on the dialog box that will pop up.
- Navigate to the Timesheet to remove this competition, as this is not done automatically.
